This case study is part of the large New York: City Designed program run jointly by the Macaulay Honors College and the Design Trust for Public Space. Every spring, based on Design Trust’s real-world projects, a real-world design problem will be identified in New York City. This could include subjects like neurodiversity, public housing, green infrastructure, or historic preservation. Students will be asked to
research, understand, and propose solutions to these problems. The final case study will review proposals by students of how New York City’s environment might change for the better. City leaders will be present to comment and provide context on these solutions
All meetings will be held via Zoom on Thursday evenings and run for 90 minutes, unless otherwise noted.
