Macaulay Dancers Video Submission "Auditions"

Hello all! Video submission auditions for the Macaulay Dancers are officially open. Here are the details:

- On our group page are three video demonstrations that we recorded for you. The first video is just a set of skills/techniques that we would like to see you demonstrate. The second video is a short jazz combo, and the third is a short hip-hop combo.

- Please record yourself repeating the skills we demonstrated in the first video and the combos in the second and third videos. It would probably be best to record three separate videos as we have done.

- The music for the combos is linked below. The jazz combo starts 0:47 seconds into the song and the hip-hop combo starts 0:31 seconds into the song.

- If you have any additional skills/tricks/etc. that you would like to show us, feel free to improvise them at the end of either combo!

- We are only going to be looking at your dancing – not your video background, sound, or anything else. Don't worry about that!

- Don't worry about dancewear/footwear either. Wear whatever you feel comfortable dancing in.

- In the skill/technique video, we ask that you do each skill on both legs. That doesn't mean we expect you to do each skill equally on both sides (almost everyone has a "bad" side!). We just want to make sure righties and lefties get an equal chance.

- We don't expect you to be perfect, and don't worry if you're unfamiliar with a skill or you can't get it quite right. Just try everything to the best of your ability!

- You can submit videos by sending them to themacaulaydancers@gmail.com.

- Submissions will be due by October 25th.
