Over decades, the meat and dairy industry partnered with governments around the world have been oppressing the black community and communities of color through the development of mass food deserts and targeted advertising and misinformation, leading to extreme rates of chronic disease amongst people of color. This issue has become even more relevant since COVID-19, since chronic disease increases the likelihood of death from the illness, causing higher death rates among communities of color. Learn how the black community and communities of color can use food to free themselves from this silent oppression, join the call!
