Hi everyone,
Hoping all is well! Please see updates this week below. Also, here's an article by CampusGroups about how to attract and retain members.
Budget Revision Deadline
If your group received an allocation from the Scholars Council during the fall semester, you must revise your budget and submit for final approval by student development by November 12th. Revised budgets can be emailed to student.clubs@mhc.cuny.edu. You cannot access your funding unless your budget is fully approved. Further, failure to have your groups budget revised by the deadline will result in your group only being eligible to receive 50% of your allocated funding.
DEI: Why Inclusion Matters
Getting a range of perspectives, people, and differences within your group, will help make the best version of your group. Watch this video about building an inclusive team environment.
Supporting Excellence Conference
Join the Macaulay Diversity Initiative for an evening conference focusing on the evolution of diversity: how movements throughout history have impacted equity and inclusion today, and how we can think about equity and inclusion for the future. The conference consists of a faculty keynote speech, a Macaulay alumni panel, followed by workshops that discuss topics such as restorative justice and the LGBTQIA+ History. This annual conference aims to open up a dialogue on diversity, equity, and inclusion and how to advocate for your wellness through discussions and activities.
Macaulay Honors College is committed to creating a welcoming, healthy, and safe learning environment. Open to CUNY Students, Faculty and Staff!

Travel Proposals
If you're looking to travel in the spring semester, all travel proposals for Spring are due by 12/4/24. You'll need to include all of the required materials as stated on the website. We will only choose and support 2 trips (total; out of all clubs and proposals). Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
Remember, you will need to separately also apply for Travel Funding via an additional funding request to the Scholars Council. If your trip is not approved, funding will revert back to the Scholars Council. Trips costing an excess of $500 for chaperones will need to be funded by the club.
Club Macaulay Maintenance
Club Macaulay will be under maintenance on Thursday, 28 November from 3 am - 10 am ET, with intermittent access throughout Thanksgiving Day. We encourage everyone to take note of this downtime and plan your events accordingly!
