October Club Council

Friday 10/18/24 at 4pm is the next Club Council meeting. Just a reminder, this is a mandatory meeting and each club is required to send at least 1 leader to represent their group. In addition, this month we'll be talking about communication and email communication features. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Shivani.Ramsaran@macaulay.cuny.edu
 

Dreams and Nightmares: Halloween Party

Macaulay's Halloween Party is going to be one of our biggest events of the semester, and the Scholars Council is welcoming any clubs to cosponsor. If you're interested in partnering in any capacity, reach out to nasir.anderson@macaulay.cuny.edu or just come and have a good time!

Budget Deadlines

The budget submission deadline for Fall 2024 is tomorrow (Wednesday 10/16/24). Clubs will still have an opportunity in the spring to apply for additional funding, or apply for a budget for the remainder of the year if they haven't received one. Submit your budget using the template and form here: https://community.macaulay.cuny.edu/studentactivities/budgets/

Groups that received their allocation from the Scholars Council, have until 11/13 to submit their revised budget for approval to student.clubs@mhc.cuny.edu.

 

Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

October is LGBTQIA+ History month! Each Macaulay organization creates spaces for students to feel connected to one another. Are you creating events where everyone feels welcome to attend? As you plan ahead for the rest of the semester and academic year, make sure that your events are accessible and inclusive to each member of the Macaulay community.

Interested in attending a Safe Zone training? The Student Development Team is hosting a training on Wednesday, October 30th from 5-7pm. 

Giving Tuesday

It's the time of year again that our Advancement and Communications department starts planning fundraising efforts to go to support all of the clubs, events and student activities we have at Macaulay. We'd love your help giving back and with the efforts. This year's giving Tuesday is 11/28 and there are so many ways for club leaders to help get the word out: https://macaulay.cuny.edu/gtvolunteer
