Arts Night (CANCELLED)

Hi All,

As you all may have read, CUNY will be adjusting its academics and student life as protective measures against COVID-19. Student events with an expected attendance of over 50 people have been canceled, including Arts Night. However, after meeting with Student Development, we have come to an agreement that we still want to celebrate the arts as a community and we invite you all to continue on this journey with us!

In order to do this, we will be setting up a temporary display either in the Reading Room or Commons (potentially both) which will include your artwork (with your permission, of course), sweets and other snack food, and some workshop activities for people to enjoy over a period of 1-2 weeks. Our "gallery" space will be decorated according to the theme, "Legends and Mythology," as initially planned.

The potential time frames for the temporary display are as follows:
March 28th to April 6th
Or April 20th to early May.

We will be EXTENDING our submissions deadline to 3/19/20. Please email us at macaulayartsnight@gmail.com if you would like to participate through digital submissions. If you are able to bring your submissions physically to the building we will be in touch in regards to drop off deadlines. Please also note that once the gallery ends we will need you to pick up your submissions within a week. We're excited that we have found a way to host this event and celebrate all those who have been working hard in supporting us. We hope everyone stays well and finishes the up semester strong!
