Concert Series: Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra

Our first FREE concert meeting will be to see the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. This will be on Indigenous Peoples' Day so no classes will be scheduled. If you would like to secure a ticket, send an email ASAP to chambermusic@macaulay.cuny.edu.

Global Music Partnership presents Kazakh violinist Aiman Mussakhajayeva and renowned American composer and pianist Lowell Liebermann as soloists with the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra in works by Liebermann, Prokofiev, and 20th Century Kazakh composer Tles Kazhgaliev. The performance also features two movements from Kazhgaliev’s romantic Symphonic Suite “The Steppe Legend,” which offers a beautiful introduction to this rarely heard composer.
