Nanotechnology, Biology, and Bioengineering Summer Research Program

REU in Nanotechnology for Biology and Bioengineering
Johns Hopkins University | Research | Baltimore, MD
Desired Start Date: June 7, 2021 | Desired End Date: August 13, 2021 Application Deadline: Friday, February 1, 2021 | Includes a stipend, housing, and paid travel

Students majoring in the STEM fields participate in research projects in the exciting and rapidly growing area of nanobiotechnology, a place where biology, medicine, and nanotech meet.

Research areas include:
  • Engineering for Cancer Therapies
  • Stem Cell and Regenerative Engineering
  • Diagnostic Tools Engineered for Early Detection

Students receive hands-on graduate level laboratory research experience and guidance from faculty and graduate student mentors. The program includes professional development activities, social activities, and off-campus housing.

Program participation is contingent on COVID-19 restrictions.

Qualifications:
  • U.S. citizens and permanent residents
  • Undergraduate students who have completed at least their freshman year and will not be graduating before the start of the program
  • GPA of 3.5 or better
  • Under-represented minority students in science and engineering fields are encouraged to apply
