The Mobilis Lab (http://www.mobilislab.com/) in the Department of Neurology at NYU Langone Health is looking for research volunteers and interns. The project entails the development of a new quantitative method in upper limb rehabilitation. Once developed, this new method will allow us to identify the amount of training needed to maximize plasticity and recovery after stroke. We are using wireless sensors and machine learning algorithms to record and detail movements in humans with stroke.
Interns will have the opportunity to:
- Gain research experience relevant to graduate school, medical school, etc.
- Earn letters of recommendation
- Develop skills related to data collection and entry
- Co-author manuscripts and conference presentations
Interns will primarily assist with videotaped movement coding. Interns should have some background in research, including (but not limited to) relevant coursework, past publications, data management, or lab experience. Interns will commit to working 15 hours per week.
