PULSE stands for Physicians Unite to Lead Student Experiences. This program connects undergraduate, pre-medical students with a physician mentor and facilitates medical exploration and conversation. Commit to only 2, 45-minute virtual meetings over the span of 3-4 months where you will get to learn about your physician’s career as well as learn more about a topic relevant to their speciality. More specifically, the second meeting will feature you casually presenting literature research to your mentor and having a meaningful discussion.
With limited access to in-person clinical opportunities for pre-med students due to COVID-19, this experience will act as an alternative way to gain medical experience for students. We would love to have you promote this to pre-med students in your club and use the flyer attached to this email to promote our program on your social media pages! We are currently recruiting students for our first round of matches, which will take place in mid October. To apply, students can fill out the Google Form, linked below. Any student who is attending college in the U.S. is welcome to sign up! To learn more about our program, please visit our website. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns!
