Subject: Club Updates: Snack Drawer, Event Space, and Additional Reminders

Welcome to this week's Student Leader Updates! I hope everyone's general interest meetings and events have been going great so far. Thanks to everyone that has been posting on the feed in Club Macaulay, we've been seeing a lot of success with outreach so far. If you need us, don't forget to reach out.

Reminder, Scholars Council's October Budget Allocation submission deadline is October 16th.

Snack Drawer

As a reminder, we'll have a limited supply of some snacks for clubs to use at their events or meetings. The snack drawer is in the Projector Room (located on 2nd Floor behind the Screening Room). Please note that these are first-come, first-serve and will not be deducted from your club budgets. You will need to sign your club's name when you take one so we can track and know how this is being used. This is the honor system, so please only take 1 pack of cookies or a few things of chips, and return unused snacks. (Remember you can also grab pitchers/ice in the kitchen (C-level), and water behind the bar in the Commons).

Have leftover snacks after your event? Donate to the snack drawer so that other groups can use them.

Club Council

Friday 9/20/24 at 4pm is the next Club Council meeting. Just a reminder, this is a mandatory meeting and each club is required to send at least 1 leader to represent their group. In addition, this month we'll be talking about recruitment, fostering engagement in your members, and badges in Club Macaulay. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Shivani.Ramsaran@macaulay.cuny.edu

Club Registration

Club reregistration is live. Remember you need to clarify your goals, have updated members, and all of your issues resolved by 9/20/24 in order to remain an active club this year. Click here for more info on Club Registration.

SPARC

The deadline to complete SPARC training is this week, 9/20/24. All club officers are required to take SPARC Title IX Sexual Misconduct training each academic year. See here for more details.

Club Macaulay: Event Form

Remember that it can take up to seven business days in order to get your event approved in Club Macaulay. For more information on how to create events and track event attendance in Club Macaulay, please see here. Event approval in Club Macaulay is necessary in order to book space in the building and give your group enough time to properly market your event.
