**Club Macaulay will be undergoing maintenance between this week and may be inaccessible mostly in the late evening hours and at various times during this time week**
Club Council 12/1
The December Club Council meeting is Friday 12/1 at 4pm. Each club is required to send 1 representative. This meeting we'll be talking about burnout, and strategies to avoid feeling burned out. Please email Shivani Ramsaran (Shivani.Ramsaran@macaulay.cuny.edu) if with any updates or info.
Spring Semester
You may have seen that CUNY has announced a mostly virtual spring semester. At this time, we do not forsee any immediate changes to the off-campus events policy, and everything (unfortunately) should continue to be hosted virtually. CUNY has specifically highlighted and included meetings and events in and outside of the 5-boroughs in their continuity guidance.
Should travel become an option we will grant as much notice as possible and schedule a new deadline for Spring Travel Proposals.
Don't Edit Your Event!
Another reminder, please limit your event edits in Club Macaulay. Each time you edit your event details or description, your event is taken off-line, and requires reapproval. Sara Mazes talked aboutt this briefly at the November Club Council meeting, but this is still an issue many clubs are facing causing their events to be down for key advertising times, or blocking attendees from accessing zoom links when the event begins.
Here are some tips:
- Submit your events early. Way early. Like there's no space in the building and you're not going to be able to have the event unless you get it in over a month in advance.
- When creating events, try to have all of the details finalized.
- Keep in mind, event approvals typically take 7-10 days. We've been doing our best virtually to shorten that timeframe, but its not always possible. So if you make edits to an event on a Friday, and your event in going to be in Macaulay Monday, it may not appear if your event is now pending approval due to edits.
Travel Proposals
To Travel in the spring semester submit your full domestic travel checklist by Sunday 12/4/22. Due to limited resources, we will only be able to approve a maximum of 3 travel proposals between all clubs. Click here to see the Travel Guidelines. IncCompleted travel proposals may be submitted to student.clubs@mhc.cuny.edu

Leadership: How to Self-care
You need to take care of yourself to take care of everything else in your life. Often we feel responsible for school, work, friends, family, but you are also responsible for yourself. Check out this video on how to make an action-plan for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0iVTQS8ftg
