About Us
The Macaulay Asian-American Pacific Islander Student Society seeks to establish an open forum for the celebration of Asian culture. Though “Asian-American” sounds concise, the term encapsulates several distinct, diverse Asian cultures. This society seeks to enumerate these distinctions by celebrating what makes each culture unique. And yet, beyond emphasizing the differences, we also aim to focus on what brings these cultures together and how each culture fits into the term “Asian-American” We hope that through the establishment of this society that members will find themselves a part of an open, accepting community, an enriched understanding of other cultures, and a greater appreciation for their own.
