As Macaulay's center for chess-related activities, MCC strives to engage students with this timeless game. We will bring all that a chess community could offer to the table on both a social, and intellectual front. Additionally, MCC aims to foster a strong relationship with NYC through competition and community service.
If you are new to chess, at MCC, you can learn and refine your strategic and tactical skills by participating in chess lessons as well as apply those skills in games against other members. For those interested in the more competitive side of chess, MCC will give you an opportunity to participate in in-club tournaments (with the potential to win small prizes) and tournaments across the New York metropolitan area. Finally, if you are a chess fan simply looking for a supportive community, you are welcome to attend a multitude of events hosted by MCC where you can meet people who share your interest while having a nice slice of pizza.
