The CUNY Honors Business Hub is a program that aims to diversify the pipeline of students entering into various business fields by strengthening the honors-to-career pathway. This initiative is particularly focused on supporting underrepresented students – first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented minority students – across all CUNY Honors programs. This program will enhance students’ career preparation through a suite of opportunities including career readiness prep, intensive coaching and mentoring from business professionals, and financial support to facilitate participation in career-building experiential learning opportunities.

Mission
The mission of FemSocs at the Macaulay Honors College of the City University of New York is to educate the members of student body about the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes, to raise the consciousness of Macaulay students to the effect of their own actions on current feminist issues across the globe, to serve as a forum for discussion and a source of information on feminist issues, and to engage with and establish strong and lasting ties with other organizations across CUNY and the greater New York City area whose mission aligns with that of this organization.

The CUNY Film Festival is a student initiated event now in its 11th wonderful year. Our fund raising effort is to support its growth and diversity and to provide more access and assistance to CUNY filmmakers. The funds will be used to continue to reach out to all of the media students on each of the 24 city campuses and support bringing them together for a gala evening on April 14th at the Macaulay Honors College in New York. This year we hope to improve the media profile, awards presentations and expand discussion panels in the future. The festival is an exciting showcase for some of CUNY's most audacious and thought provoking student, alumni, graduate, and faculty film talent. Inspiring, crowd pleasing, and totally awesome, the event has been a success with hundreds of film entries each year.

The Macaulay Art Tank is responsible for uniting Macaulay students from all campuses interested in arts opportunities and events in New York City. The Art Tank encourages and supports collaborative and interdisciplinary thinking, spontaneity, and creativity of all kinds. We aim to bring opportunities to students through museum/gallery trips and art-making workshops. Art Tank aims to build lasting connections between Macaulay and New York City Cultural Institutions.

Every Spring, the Macaulay Art Tank also curates Macaulay Arts Night. This initiative is one of Macaulay's biggest annual events, where a group of student curators transform the entire Macaulay Building into a giant art exhibition. The event serves as a showcase of Macaulay creative talent, featuring artwork, performances, interactive installations, and workshops. Arts Night aims to represent all Macaulay campuses through its curatorial team, artwork, and performances as a way of highlighting the diverse range of creative thinking within the Macaulay student body.

The Macaulay Asian-American Pacific Islander Student Society seeks to establish an open forum for the celebration of Asian culture. Though “Asian-American” sounds concise, the term encapsulates several distinct, diverse Asian cultures. This society seeks to enumerate these distinctions by celebrating what makes each culture unique. And yet, beyond emphasizing the differences, we also aim to focus on what brings these cultures together and how each culture fits into the term “Asian-American” We hope that through the establishment of this society that members will find themselves a part of an open, accepting community, an enriched understanding of other cultures, and a greater appreciation for their own.

The purpose of this organization shall be to promote Bollywood Fusion Dance and South Asian culture using dance through the creation of a competitive and performance Bollywood-Fusion dance team at Macaulay Honors College.

Members of Macaulay Deewane are exposed to a variety of dance styles, as well as music; through observing choreography, learning, and practicing, members are challenged in their physical abilities and are supported as they master new forms of dance. The mission of the Macaulay Ethics Society at the Macaulay Honors College of the City University of New York is to educate members of the student body about diverse, multidisciplinary, and topical ethical issues; to educate students on a vast range of philosophical frameworks through which to approach ethical decision-making; to foster intellectual discussion among students regarding current ethical dilemmas that enriches the perspectives of all members; and to ultimately serve to empower students to explore and address ethical issues in their own communities as students, citizens, and eventually as professionals in their disciplines of choice.

This club is dedicated to helping students be more aware of the growing problems around the increasing numbers of the homeless. We hope to spark thinking within students and push them to actively understand the problems that homeless people face daily. Meetings will be held monthly and there will be several events a month. In order to achieve this, we will help the homeless community by organizing food and clothing drives, writing cards, going to soup kitchens and homeless shelters, and much more! In terms of expanding our knowledge about the homeless community, we will have informative meetings, which will consist of discussing laws, policies, statistics, and treatment surrounding the homeless, and media coverage of news articles describing what is happening in real-time with the homeless community.

Our club is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity, which is a non-profit organization that strives to give homes to those less fortunate. Families in need are given the opportunity to partner with Habitat, paying back the money used to build their home by volunteering. Our Chapter builds with Habitat as often as possible. Our builds take place in any of the five boroughs, but mostly in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Anyone can join- no construction experience is necessary! We notify members of meetings and builds via email and our Instagram (@mhcforhabitat). Builds usually take place on weekends 9am to 4 pm, and/or during times of vacation.

Italians are actually considered a minority in CUNY, which probably will come as a surprise to most people. There are many clubs that encourage learning about, and enjoyment of cultures, from many places around the world. Unfortunately, there is no club to celebrate the culture of Italy, which is one of the most historical and beautiful places in the world. Italy is famous for its phenomenal food, art, music, and even having the Pope in the Vatican, a tiny country located in Italy. Hopefully with the formation of this club, we can educate people about the culture of Italy, its past, its current circumstances, how Italians have brought their culture to America, and the ways it has changed. We would love to be able to also talk about the success of famous Italian comedians such as Sebastian Maniscalco and Vic Dibetetto, who have made their careers off Italian lifestyles. Also, we can look into showing the movies surrounding Italian culture, and the famous Italians actors in them. We will also hopefully talk about how Italians have made an impact in all aspects of America. Furthermore, we will try to create a great network for all interested in learning in Italian culture and better informing students about the benefits of learning the Italian language.

The club’s goal is to promote a welcoming community of Harry Potter enthusiasts! In this club, we will host movie nights, take house sorting quizzes and much more throughout the year. This club offers both social events and the optionally learning about and playing the game of Quadball aka Quidditch from the Harry Potter series. The aim of the CUNY Macaulay Honors College Quadball Club is to represent the principles and values of US Quadball and uphold the rules as put forth by the US Quadball Rulebook. The club also aims to foster an appreciation for physical fitness through competitive athletic activity, as well as provide a platform for students of all CUNY campuses to interact and build relationships that can develop beyond the club itself. The opportunity will also exist through quadball to create and build relationships with students from other universities. The club will help to enforce a greater understanding and application of sportsmanship and accountability in practices, matches, and everyday life.

During college it may be difficult to find time to be active, relieve stress, or connect with others. At MRNCLB, we know from experience how challenging it can be to balance classes, work, and personal life; and how isolating it can be to have to handle it alone. Our purpose is to create space where students can come together to run, support one another, and take care of both their physical and mental well being. We hope to use these runs to build accountability, encouragement, and friendships. We will begin meeting during the spring semester to strength train for longer runs and begin runs that are accessible for both amateurs and professionals.

The Macaulay Run Club was created to provide a space where students can come together to run, support each other, and take care of both their physical and mental well-being. Running isn’t just exercise—it’s a way to build accountability, encouragement, and friendships, all while giving students a break from the stress of everyday life.

We plan to host weekly or bi-weekly group runs through spots like Central Park, the West Side Highway, and Van Cortlandt Park, as well as provide access to verified online training programs that connect running, strength, and recovery days. These activities are designed to help students stay consistent, build community, and feel supported in their fitness goals.

Splash! is a student-led conference of unique classes taught by college students for high school students. Classes focus on specific skills and/or realms of thought, targeted to challenge pre-college students to explore their interests. The Orientation Leaders/Peer Mentors help incoming Macaulay Honors College students
discover and pursue their passions and interests, adjust to life at Macaulay Honors College, and
develop the skills needed to become strong leaders within and outside Macaulay Honors College.
The Orientation Leaders/Peer Mentors pair new Macaulay Honors students with upper-class
mentors who will lead small group sessions designed to help students discover their passions and
interests and to set themselves up for postgraduate success. They will cultivate discussions about
model participation in an academic discussion through careful listening and incisive but
respectful speaking. Peer Mentors will also check in with students to ensure that they are thriving
in their college and extracurricular environment, and help connect the student to resources when
necessary.

Each new honors student is placed on a team led by one to two peer mentors. Mentors, who have
undergone a rigorous selection process, are committed to helping first-year students not only
adjust to college life, but also discover and pursue their passions and interests, and develop the

The purpose of Scribe shall be to serve as a creative outlet for the Macaulay community. The Scribe Creative Writing Club will be a place for all members of the Macaulay community to meet, get inspired, and create and share their creative works. At the same time, Scribe will seek out these creative works whether they are art, photography, novels, short stories, plays, or in some other medium, and publish them in accessible digital formats and in print when necessary. We will provide the writers of the Macaulay community with constructive peer editors who will revise and give suggestions on creative works before they are published. This will allow members to enhance their writing skills in an accepting and welcoming environment.

Any Macaulay student who becomes a member of Scribe will be able to participate in periodic group activities and outings exploring our different interests in art, photography, poetry, playwriting, and prose. The mission of this organization shall be to foster a network of research-oriented individuals in a variety of fields and to offer support to said individuals through speeches and networking with guest professors who come to speak about their research. The Research Club will serve as a support group not just to the STEM research field but also research within humanities, in which we will meet twice a month to discuss the progress of students' research and organize events that will aid in their research, such as bringing in professors, librarians, and other college professionals. We will ask students to bring any form of research (articles, social media posts) with them to meetings so they can share things that they learned. We also want to remind students that research is not always associated with STEM, as that is a common misconception. Students should understand that research in humanities is required for the advancement of society, and we will do that by inviting researchers from humanities fields and discussing research in humanities. The ultimate goal is to have students connect with potential professors and possibly get them research opportunities and experiences that they can take with them throughout their academic careers.
